Hello, and thanks for visiting! A couple of months ago a good friend nominated me in one of those Facebook challenges you may have seen doing the rounds - 7 black and white photos over 7 days from your ordinary life, excluding people and pets, posted without explanation. I accepted the challenge, and enjoyed the process so much that I was soon wondering how I could extend it. This blog is my answer. The photos won't always be in black and white - I've long understood how important colour is to me - but I plan to adhere to the other rules of the challenge for a full 365 days and, in doing so, tell the story of the next year in my life. Knowing how I struggle with discipline, especially self-discipline, I imagine this process will throw up quite a few challenges for me but hopefully that will all be part of the growing and learning process. There will be little or no explanation posted, though I'll be happy to chat in the comments, and I hope you find something here to enjoy.
HaHa! As a Sicilian of course, l'm unable to comment on 'Organised Crime'...! :(.
ReplyDeleteMy feelings for hunting, any form of hunting, is quite clear...I've always had a theory that the reason foxes have moved into urban areas, is to be stopped from being chased..it's safer for them! And, there at their happiest, running around people gardens, rearing their young, and ploughing through dustbins, for the odd Chinese take~away...Bless'em! :).
And, lets not get away from the fact that fox hunting is a 'sport'..l have an old copy of Debretts on a book shelf, and, it's clearly states under the 'Sporting' chapter that fox hunting is a sport, and clearly describes the correct apparel and dress to be worn for such occasions..! :(.
And just last year the 'meadow lady' May, stated that the fox hunting ban, could be reviewed before the next election...She has since dropped the idea...!
So..there ya go...and l've not even mentioned what happens to the dogs when reaching 3~4yrs of age and can no longer keep up, and can not be re~homed...let you work that one out for your selves...!
HeHe! Goodness! I feel so much better for that outburst...I'll put my soap box away now..ready for another time..! :).
Sadly the National Trust, of which I am a member, seems insistent on protecting so-called 'trail hunting' ..... refusing to acknowledge how often this is a mere smokescreen for actual hunting, and refusing to acknowledge how often, even without criminal intent, trail hunting still leads to the terrorising and death of numerous wild animals. I am not, and never will be, a hunt sab as I agree with their aims but often not their methods. This though was a very peaceful, family-friendly protest on NT land, with NT permission, largely by NT members, and I was proud to be part of it. Frozen, near hypothermic, but proud! ;)
