Hello, and thanks for visiting! A couple of months ago a good friend nominated me in one of those Facebook challenges you may have seen doing the rounds - 7 black and white photos over 7 days from your ordinary life, excluding people and pets, posted without explanation. I accepted the challenge, and enjoyed the process so much that I was soon wondering how I could extend it. This blog is my answer. The photos won't always be in black and white - I've long understood how important colour is to me - but I plan to adhere to the other rules of the challenge for a full 365 days and, in doing so, tell the story of the next year in my life. Knowing how I struggle with discipline, especially self-discipline, I imagine this process will throw up quite a few challenges for me but hopefully that will all be part of the growing and learning process. There will be little or no explanation posted, though I'll be happy to chat in the comments, and I hope you find something here to enjoy.
That looks like a little piece of heaven!
ReplyDeleteIt really is Kylie! The only bit of sunshine we've had all Easter, and what a glorious place to spend it. Gary and came here together for the first time via the coastpath in our early days as a couple. We sat with a flask of tea then too, looking out at the view and trying to get our heads together - the circumstances were very difficult in those days, and our getaways to the coastpath, even just for a few hours, kept us whole in mind, body and spirit. 23 years later life is more stable, less stressy, but this remains as you say "a little piece of heaven"!
DeleteDo you know..it must years since l've had a cuppa out of a thermos flask, don't think l've ever possessed one...! Remember Dad having one, he'd take to work every day! Had a few teas out of his, but that's it...Don't recognize the pebbles on that beach either...! :0).
ReplyDeleteJust sitting here looking through the Paddington Bear curtains..watching the rain, though, supposed to clear later, l've things to do in the kitchen, been to Lidl first thing, so pasta sauce to make, pork tender lion to make Codolette..aka..Schnitzel..! :).
Treated myself to a new 'small' oven on offer at £34:99..mine was well past it's sell by date..As l have a Range cooker/oven, bit big for me alone, so always had a small oven just for myself..!
Off to the the kitchen then...my most favourite room in my home...! And done out in Bubble~Gum pink...I'm as happy as a pig in...........!!!! :0).
We rely on them a lot due to our lifestyle. Nothing ever tastes quite right out of them, but they serve their purpose and you get used to it! The pebbles belong to Worbarrow Bay, accessed via the coast path between Kimmeridge and Lulworth or more easily/lazily on this occasion (well, it WAS Sunday morning!) via a very easy path down from Tyneham Village. Wonderful spot for a bit of quiet contemplation before cooking the Easter roast. Hope your own kitchen ventures proved satisfactory! :)
